Compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for mothers and parents.

A Message to Mom’s and mom’s to be.

The path to becoming a parent can bring immense joy and unexpected emotional challenges.

Many women are surprised by how different they feel as they become mothers: anxious, tearful, on edge, or disconnected. Some experience racing thoughts, intrusive fears, or guilt for not feeling as bonded as they expected.

These experiences are common, and they’re treatable.

Perinatal psychiatry is specialized care designed to support your mental health through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transitions that follow. Whether you’re coping with postpartum depression, anxiety, infertility stress, birth trauma, or NICU recovery, this is a place to find understanding, clarity, and evidence-based treatment that helps you feel like yourself again.

What is Perinatal Psychiatry?

Perinatal psychiatry focuses on the unique mental health needs that arise during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and the early years of parenthood.

It’s not just about diagnosing and treating symptoms  it’s about understanding the full picture of your experience. It’s about how your story and journey to becoming a mother impacts how you feel while mothering. And feeling held and supported during it.

This is care that recognizes:

How sleep deprivation, hormonal shifts, and identity changes impact mood and functioning

I work with individuals experiencing:

  • Postpartum depression and anxiety

  • Pregnancy-related mood changes

  • Birth trauma or NICU experiences

  • Intrusive thoughts or excessive worry

  • Overwhelm, irritability, or “mom rage”

  • Grief after miscarriage or fertility challenges

  • Identity shifts, loss of self, or emotional numbness

You don’t have to reach a breaking point to seek help. Early, compassionate support can make all the difference.

My Approach

My approach blends clinical expertise with authentic human connection

Treatment may include:

  • Medication management, when clinically indicated and thoughtfully reviewed for pregnancy and breastfeeding safety

  • Therapy and supportive guidance, focused on emotional regulation, anxiety relief, and restoring confidence

  • Lifestyle, sleep, and stress support, tailored to the realities of motherhood

  • Collaboration with your care team, including OB-GYNs, therapists, or primary care providers

My goal is to help you regain emotional balance and confidence.  To move from surviving to feeling steady, capable, and connected again.
